Screw dehydrator is designed for sludge dewatering with the concentration of suspended solids from 2,000 mg/l to 35,000 mg/l produced in the wastewater treatment process of domestic, industrial, agricultural, and other waters. Screw dehydrator application reduces sludge moisture to 60% and by this greatly reduces its volume.

Screw dehydrator is the most efficient and economical equipment for dewatering sludge generated from wastewater treatment.
Floatation sludge is fed from the collecting tank to dynamic flocculator by submersible pump, and wastewater excess, subjected to gravity, goes back into the process tank. In dynamic flocculator, flocculant solution is added to the sediment supplied by a separate dosing pump. Flocs (flakes) are created and mixed with a stirrer. Then the treated reagent floatation sludge goes into the dewatering drum. During the dehydration, filtrate flows from the gaps between the rings. The gap width decreases in the direction of the exit of the filter cake, from 0.5 mm in the zone of condensation up to 0.3 mm in the dehydration zone and at the end it reaches up to 0.15mm. The pitch of the screw is reduced as well, creating extra pressure in the dewatering zone. At the end of the set screw, the pressure plate, which regulates the internal pressure in the drum, is installed. Rinsing is automatic.
